Sunday 7th March - to Plimmerton

Sunday 7th March - to Plimmerton

Today we woke up to a nice sunny morning. Had a good percolated coffee to start the day.

We took our time having breakfast and tidying up our stuff before setting off for Plimmerton at about 11:00am. The drive was pleasant all the way, even through all the new expressway roadworks at Otaki.

We stopped for lunch at Levin.

Got to the NZMCA caravan park at about 1:00pm, full of big expensive motorhomes. This time the frig didn't take quite so long to "fire up" - still an issue though.

At about 2:30 we unhooked the caravan and set off for James's place in Karori. We took a detour to the Picton Ferry wharf so that we knew where to go tomorrow morning. Google showed us to get out of there and back up to Tinakori Road to James's place

When we got there he was busy painting his new front fence black. I didn’t offer! The whole of the front of the house now looks a whole lot better with a proper parking area for cars.

James is up the back painting the fence black.
